Scotty and I went on an overnight camping trip just the two of us and we ended up staying a little longer than planned! We tried to get out for a couple of hours and then finally out of nowhere some construction workers showed up to fix a pipe coming out of miller flat lake (middle of nowhere), watched us for another half hour, then we decided to ask for their help. By this time i was fuming because i didn't know how someone could just sit there and watch you struggle like that. Finally they helped us and we were really grateful.

Scotty and I had been told that this was the best Mexican in San Francisco, but i have to say Johnny took us to a little hole in the wall the day the boy's went surfing and THAT was the BEST mexican!
Anyone who knows us knows how much we love biking, especially scotty. So we decided to take our beach cruiser down with us and rode around San Fran. I highly recommend it!

Two year Anniversary

When Scotty and I were heading home from the temple after getting married we stopped off at Wendy's and now we have made a tradition out of it!
Scotty surprised me with a trip to go see Becky for my Anniversary present! Thank you thank you thank you so much scotty i had a blast! you knew i was missing Becks like crazy, your the best husband and you always treat me to good!

I'm Wet I'm Wet!

Halloween night we decided to go camping with our awesome friends Spencer and Brittany. While Brittany and i ate about ten cookies each and watched a halloween movie in the car, the boys built a home made tent(which we didn't think we had to supervise, but oh were we wrong) just in case it rained but Scottie had assured me if it did it would only be a drizzle. Well guess what: it did! But it wasn't just a drizzle... it was pouring! Luckily the boys put us girls in the middle so that if it did rain we wouldn't get wet. Now if you take a better look at this photo, you'll notice the big dark spot of water and the hole in the tarp right above it. The tarp was loose, so all the water went right through the hole! In the middle of the night i woke up because i freezing. As i started to wake up i noticed i wasn't just cold but soaking wet! I must admit at first i was wondering if i had wet the bed because i couldn't figure out how the inside of my sleeping bag could be so wet! When i realized where the water was coming from i started yelling I'm wet I'm wet! After realizing there was nothing i could do about it i went back to bed. In the morning we were all trying to warm up by the fire when i said "its to bad our tarps had holes in them." To that Scottie replied "no, just the one on top did. The bottom one was fine." Lesson learned ladies: supervise your men! ha ha ha i love you Scottie and thanks for the great story to share!

So, every other Sunday My family gets together and my mom always makes an amazing dinner for all of us! Thanks so much mom for the fabulous home cooked meals and all the fun memories we get to make on Sundays! When the table is all set and we are sitting down, someone always says "wow! That's a lot of food!." I love it! It reminds me of when Becky says "my mom could solve world hunger with one of her blue ribbon pies" (from drop dead gorgeous) Well i KNOW my mom could with one of her Sunday dinners! First Anniversary!

So i haven't been the best at keeping up on this blogging thing so i am starting from our one year anniversary! (which was in august)

Right after Scottie and I were married we went to WENDY'S! and after we ordered our food Scottie realized he didn't have his wallet. we started looking all over the car for change and ended up not having enough money. Scottie asked if we could take something off the order and the man at the window looked into the car and saw that I was in a wedding dress and told us congrats and that we didn't need to pay! we decided to start a tradition of going to Wendy's on our anniversary!

This is your wedding cake and it was surprisingly really good!

My cute hubby chopping wood for a fire! Scottie and I spent our anniversary up at his cute Papa's cabin in salt lake. It was so beautiful up there! I loved it! Thanks again Scottie for this fun surprise, i love you so much!

We finished our night off by going outside and watching the stars while we talked.

Spence and I hiked timp just before it started getting cold. It was an incredible experience. I had forgotten what a beautiful hike it is. It really makes you realize the expanse of God's love for us. He sure created one amazing world for us to enjoy! We went half way in the evening, camped just below the top, and then summited and went back down the next morning.

Spence is my hero! Somehow I convinced him to jump in emerald lake- he is hillarious! (the other end of the lake has a glacier running into it)

This moose came walking out of the bushes right in front of us. I was within ten feet! Other wildlife we saw included deer, elk, rocky mountain sheep, and marmots.

Bear Lake... Again!

We took yet another Bear Lake trip, thanks to our amazing friends Spence and Brit. This time we brought Dev and Ky along and it was tons of fun to spend time and be around them more. Highlights included night time swimming, sleeping out on the deck, wakeboarding, Shotgun shooting at night (with a spot light), wakeskating behind the 4-wheelers, and of course the amazing chocolate covered raspberries. Dev drove, which was super nice of him considering the gas mileage he gets- thanks Dev!

The canyon was breathtaking on the way up, we goofed around a bunch, hot tubbed with the usual weirdos up there, had one amazing rock skip, and made some fun memories. If you've never been there, go!

We Moved!

Farewell 47 west 700 north! It wasn't much to look at on the outside, but we made it our home on the inside. When we returned from San Francisco, we walked in the door and were floored by the smell of smoke. Turns out a chain smoker lady had moved in upstairs, and we were out of there within a couple of days.

When i got this masive box from Ikea Scotty said we would never use it! I sure showed him!

We fit 95% of our belongings in the truck- Scotty has pretty impressive tetris skills! (or we're just extremely poor and don't have a lot of stuff...)

We realized we had a free weekend... 3 hours later we found ourselves in San Francisco!

What's a trip to San Francisco without a cruise through China Town? We loved asking everyone "nee-how-ma?"

While in the city we decided we had to see everything. We started off on foot, and before we knew it we had been all over the city, and experienced far more than you possibly could in a car. We fell in love with this diverse, charming city!

We even stumbled upon a "legalize marijuana" protest. This guy was kind enough to pose for us with his 3-foot long joint (and check out his ink!). Needless to say, after snaping a few photos we were out of there!

We made the long trek to Haight-Ashbury, and found that the hippies never left! This old man had "peace walker" written across his back in red, white, and blue.

Chelsey claims we will one day live in the little city of Sausalito. It would almost be worth moving there just for the breakfast we had in a little Sausalito corner cafe!

We left our hearts in San Francisco!

Slumber Party!

On Sunday night we made this awesome fort (the Taj Mahal of all forts) and had a good old-fashioned slumber party. Then (of course) we slept in it, cause thats what forts are for. The best part was that when we woke up in the morning, the fort had caved in on us!

Teeners' B-day Extravaganza!

So... I had a birthday this week! It was full of good times and lots of time spent with family. Highlights included a little temple trip with mama lew, shopping, lunch at seven twelve pizzaria with mom, dev, reebs, chloe estel, and of course my hubby. Another highlight was what was supposed to be a date to Park city, which turned into a surprize overnight getaway! It was a blast! We saw a moose, shopped 'til we literally almost dropped, bought $14 jeans, ate at the loco lizard, had room service breakfast, and enjoyed the beautiful ambiance (and eachothers' company). I couldn't have a cuter husband! Thanks to everyone for all the phone calls, texts, etc., and for making it such a special day!

Road Trippin'

So we got away for Valentines/President's Day weekend. We had a good time, and made a lot of memories- here are a few:

When in La Jolla, we spent a bunch of time at the beach, and this particular beach was rad! There was an amazing view on top of these big cliffs that overlooked the sea. So we had a picnic there, and then hiked down to the beach, only to discover that it was a nude beach! It was a beautiful place (for the most part)

We never missed a sunset, and loved being together and watching the sun sink below the ocean horizon. There were some unforgettable sunsets!

We went up to Santa Monica one day and cruised the promenade, watched a bunch of street performers, talked to some crazy preachers, and then finally ended up on the pier, where we rode this nifty ferris wheel that overlooks the ocean, beach, city, etc.

We spent a lot of time at the beach...

...and what's a road trip without street tacos? This has now become a Jackson family tradition!
